Two ways to play a hyper-aggressive player, either trap or beat him at his own game. Assuming there is a method to their madness your re-raising range should be much, much smaller than against an average player. Don't be afraid to play back at them. It would help to know your position, stack sizes and the blinds.

I love having a bully at the table, especially one with a lot of chips. The thing to do with bullies is to be patient, play tight, wait for a nice hand and gamble with them. Let them get themselves in trouble. They will be putting in big bets and stealing pots with highcards or low pairs, take a risk against them and hopefully double up. The same goes for any guy who in the first hour of a tournament has got a big pile of chips. Rarely this is achieved through skill, attack them with ok hands and see how they have forgotten how to fold.

    You are right!

i noticed bullies do get carried away and end up raising on anything, always worth a re raise or allin put them on the back foot especially if you have been playing tight. Notice how they take 1 hit and then stop and those that carry on are usually gone within the next 10 hands.

I meant larger range, not smaller.

    Well, well done.
But playing tight in heads up isnt always the way, you will have to adapt you game accordingly at each given time.
