    Default Full Tilt

well, i finally caved in and decided to have a look at this site after reading a few reviews and i gotta be honest i wasnt expecting it to be much more than a gimmick site!

"play the pros", "wsop bracelet winners use this site exclusively" blah blah

the truth of the matter is that 6 or 7 pros play roughly 10 hrs a week there (in the contract i guess) and i'm yet to see one!

i also imagined that the thought of playing against phil ivey etc might attract loads of fish/rich dumb yanks who were prepared to lose loads just to say they had played the best......

What i actually found was the highest standard of poker available online (my opinion), hardly any fish, a lot of well rounded players at all levels, low/high stakes, tourneys and stt's

Certainly not a site i'd rush to if i wanted to make some easy money but for the pleasure of playing against ppl that know and understand the game, which makes for a very enjoyable nights poker, win or lose!

the software is easy to follow and use, the timers seem slower than anywhere else i've played but i dunno if thats a good thing or not (depends on ya game i guess)

all in all i found it to be the best site i've used so far online....not the most profitable but for anyone who wants a challenge i'd recommend it...

    Sounds terrible! LOL

Slow timers and good players? Nah. Give me a faster game against people who dont know what they are doing every time!

To paraphrase a few people "If you find that you are beating people at a certain level, but losing when you move up, why move? play against the ones you beat!"

Mind you, saying that I uninstalled Party Poker because the STT's I played were absolutely chock full of fish, who miraculously (It's all fixed you know) kept hitting 2 pair after 2 pair.

I uninstalled Ladbrokes because I found I could sometimes go off, fill the kettle, wait for it to filter through, boil it, pour myself a cup of coffee, and drink about half the cup before all the players acted when I was on the Big Blind. Excruciatingly slow.
