started this as a new thread it, it came in responce to pokerwoodies request for more poker talk.
I play fixed limit mtts and I win them often, the best advice I can give you is for the first hour, when the blinds are low, play very tight, only play very strong hands, spot the aggressive players at your table who will raise and raise and use that to your advantage, you can get them to do your raising for you preflop and when the flop comes down and then when the bets double on the turn and river, you become aggresive and keep them in the pot if your hand still looks good. When the blinds are high, use your position everytime you can, steal those blinds. When the flop comes down and i've hit it nicely, I will check most times if i can and use the turn and river for betting, check raising comes in a lot, show weakness and follow it with strength.
hope this helps, good luck
That does help, thanks. I guess the main difference from what i can tell (and what you said) is you have to play very tight, at least until the blinds are big. My short attention span doesnt help in this regard
