Hi all,
I'm not sure why or when I started doing this, possibly due to my non gambling upbringing or maybe because I play several different stakes of poker in a couple of currencys, but I cant help thinking of my bankroll in the form of televisions, for instance:
'I thought I was playing well this month,I've staked 'three plasma TV's',been raked a 28"widescreen yet I'm barely up a 'bootsale black+white'
Does anybody do this and if so what currency do they use?
Or is it just me?
Cheers Dave
For some strange unknown reason, I tend to use pounds sterling as my currency, though you might find this a hard concept to grasp, it works quite well, try it some time and let me know what you think!
Mango, could you let me know what pubs you drink in as that is a bargain price for a pint!
I dont use virtual cash, as i only really play STT's and the odd MTT. I do sometimes think in the realms of "well thats the buy in for the next 3 games covered" or go on the odd double up in stakes ladder route, until i dont place then go back down a step.
Here's a good idea that I might try out myself. I might try using fizzy cola bottles as my virtual currency. That way, if I lose quite a lot I still have loads left in my account to play with, and if I win loads, it will look like I've just won the lottery!!! What do you think?
I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about! Are you on the Stellas again???

Yes I have been on the stellas....lol. I was just merely suggesting that $1 doesn't look like much, but if you convert to a virtual currency of cola bottles it would be *100 (*I don't have a currency symbol for cola bottles).
So winning 2000 cb's, looks like more than $20.... catch my drift?
