Hi,
I used to play quite a lot of online poker at ultimatebet/party poker, where it wasn't hard to make money, but i stopped playing a couple of years ago, just because i'd gone off online poker for whatever reason.
Now i'd like to start playing again, so i'm wondering what are the best places to play poker online, what i mean by best is the poorest standard of player, i'm presuming with the commerical boom the most advertised places will be the ones to choose.
So basically which sites have the best .25/.50 .50/$1 tables for me to start back out on.
Regards
I really like Betfair, the standard of play is poor by comparison to PartyPoker where there are many seasoned players who bluff a lot. I have made more money by switching to Betfair.
They are a really excellent sports site and their cust support is second to none.
PartyPoker are not a totally honest outfit in my opinion. I recently had a winning hand but lost to an inferior hand! I had 2 pairs - 10s & 7s with an ace kicker, I lost $30 to someone who had the idential hand but with a ten kicker!
I sent over 7 emails to their customer support without any reply whatsoever. I have heard of similar incidents from other players who used to play with them. I understand they have lost thousands of punters who have switched to Pacific Poker, Betfair and others. Their shares have plunged recently. I'm not surprised.

I was into Betfair into about 6 months ago, however, the software they use (cryptology) is unreliable as they come. Always find yourself being disconnected![]()
If you have a look on the betfair forum, you'll see alot of anger regarding the software. I read this thread on there before to do with a mulitplayer tournament, with a prize fund of £30,000. With 10 players left, the site crashed, and Betfair decided to split the 30 grand equally between the ten players. As you can imagine, the massive chip leader, and the very short stacked player had slightly different feelings about this
I joined pacific poker (part of 88, and probably wont leave there now. If you're gong to join 888 mate, then let me know - you get a 50 dollar bonus for the person who referred you, and you will get a 50 dollar bonus for being referred
You both had a pair of tens and a pair of sevens...but you had an Ace kicker and he had a ten kicker?Originally Posted by hoofy

haha yeah thats a full house in anyones book you dont have a pair of tens, sevens and a ten eh.. its 3 10's and a pair of 7's aka Full House.
Why has it come to this?
I thought it was a trick question or a wind up...
Confucius say "man who know wombat know more than stupid looking monkey"
Confucius also say "man who know Kebab has 60 inch waist"
Confucius finally add "man may deal, but man may not 'know' deal"
Bet365 for me personally.
I have never tried Poker on Bet365. Is that good? And why?![]()
I'm playing on Full Tilt Poker just now. Have read alot before that UK players like to avoid US sites as the US players are generally of a better standard. Can't see it myself. I thought the standard on Ladbrokes was much higher - especially the bl**dy Scandinavians (Seem to be very good - on Ladbrokes anyway)!!
Have tried a few others in the past but have stuck with Full Tilt for a little while now.
They do have a 100% bonus offer but it takes time to get back your full initial deposit.
Think the cash games start as low as $0.05/$0.10.
I tend to play the $5 or $10 sit 'n go tournaments though. Much prefer the tourney format to cash games.
Ladbrokes is good, but the play is indeed of a good standard. Gaming Club is the same software (microgaming) but the standard of players is hopeless.
