The river card should be banned, I'm sick to death of it.
Over the last 3 weeks I've lost more money than I care to mention on the so called 'cash' card. It's got my whole game strangled with nerves at the moment.
AA, AK , you name it...I lose on it to the river.
Strong betting on a strong hand to fend of draws ? Nah, they all stay in betting obscene pot odds and still hit, even the gut draws.
Strong hands against weaker hands with less than 5% chance of outdrawing me? You guessed it, the miracle card appears as if ordered by God.
Statistically, I hate to imagine the combined odds that have beaten me, and I don't go on tilt .....this is all percentage play..the 'correct' play.
I remember playing a cash game one night where I was playing roughly 1 hand in 15 in my usual tight aggresive manner. The players paying attention folded, the happy go lucky "I'm gonna look for my miracle draw card" stayed in and over the night I lost 3 big pots and all my stack to all in draws or lower ranked hands outdrawing me to the river.
I know my luck will change, no need to tell me that, but after so many hours of the same old shit I just needed to vent.
There, I feel better now.
Confucius say "man who know wombat know more than stupid looking monkey"
Confucius also say "man who know Kebab has 60 inch waist"
Confucius finally add "man may deal, but man may not 'know' deal"
Afraid it happens, and sometimes you just have to have a break, and hope luck returns. earlier today, i lost in 3 tournaments after having trips after the flop. The first time there were 3 clubs on the board, and another player hit a fourth on the river giving him the nuts, the second time, i was hit on the river by another flush, this time a guy going all in with a trash hand and hitting a flush with his 2 of spades with 4 communtity spades!! and the final time, my trip K's got beaten by someone trying to draw (and calling all-in in search of) a bloody 7, and yes, they got it!
