Hi
About a year ago i remember the ladbrokes scam where you deposited £100 and they gave you £100 or something, and you had to play 100 pontoon hands before you cashed out(something like that anyway), so basically an easy £75-£125 for an hours work.
So basically, i'm just wondering, are there any terms and conditions to stop you doing that to a whole host of poker websites that offer deposit bonuses(being pretty decent at poker playing the amount of raked hands required shouldn't be a problem.) and making a few quid.
Also i have a 100% deposit bonus with ultimatebet to try it out on, is it worth a try?
Regards.
I think it's fine as most people will go and waste the bonus money plus once your a member you may play a lot more hands with your own money.
Any time you aggressively play seven deuce off suit, the universe will bend the laws of short term probability in order to re-balance the long term probability abuses by those trashy players who only play premium hands
Hi Wuddle
Plenty of players already do exactly this at a variety of sites, and there's certainly nothing to stop you from joining them, but be prepared to put in a lot of hours and (more than likely) be prepared to multi-table in order to work off the bonuses in sufficient time. Most sites offer you a limited timeframe to unlock specific bonuses (typically 7-30 days) - I believe Pokerstars is the exception.
Many sites offer signup and reload bonuses in order to fill their tables and generate play (from which they take a rake), and they certainly don't mind if you play at other sites, as long as you also play at theirs too. Because you're basically playing at any site that offers you money to play it's little wonder that the common term for this activity is 'whoring'. If you plan on following up on this idea I'd recommend you gen up on the area by reading 'Bonus Whoring 101' at the very useful BonusWhores site.
Good luck!
p.s. While you're at it check out Freebankroll.co.uk - looks interesting!

Its worth looking on a free bet site (google it) and taking advantage of all free/bonus credit. Treat the money as your own though, very easy to fritter it away when you think of it as free money!
