I quite new to poker and i liked poker.co.uk and ladbrokes. It's in d $ but i don't think there's a charge to convert it. I would maybe start on the low stake tables and work your way up.
Hi
this is my first post so please go easy.
I have played a lot of free money online poker and have really enjoyed it. The only problem is that it is not winning me any money.
I want to start playing online with real money and play in online tournaments.
But where do i start. What isa good beginners website.
I would prefer £ sterling o i dont have to pay a conversion rate charge.
Thanks in advance

Any time you aggressively play seven deuce off suit, the universe will bend the laws of short term probability in order to re-balance the long term probability abuses by those trashy players who only play premium hands
I'll agree that poker.co.uk is a good place to start, as you can deposit as low as $10 (so putting in £10 will give you just under $20) and they have some very low priced games. A 10 seat Sit and Go tournament can cost as little as $1 (top 3 pay) - a good place to start with real money. They also have 20 seaters for $2.50 and $5.50 (top 4 pay).
When you find yourself finishing in the money on these ones you will soon see a little extra money coming into your bank and you can move up in the stakes.
Good luck.

Ladbrokes is my favorite as it lets you transfer in and out to your credit card, whereas a lot of the others want to send you cheques! I've tried pretty much every variety of poker software, and for me the Prima one is the best by far.
Laddies also now runs tournys for $2 + (I think) $0.30 which is just over a £1.
Bear this in mind, as you move up the stakes, the more likely youll find good players.
Oh, and the play on free money tables is very different to play on cash tables. If I was you, Id only play tournies to start as you get so much more for your money, and if you hit some bad luck, youll lose chips and probably not all of them.....

thanks for the replies. I think i'll have a go at some of the tournaments on poker.co.uk.
Does poker.co.uk take a percentage of the pot if you play on cash tables.
Do they charge for adding or withdrawing money?
nd same with Ladbrokes
Im sure none of them charge for transferring money. If you enter a tourny i you pay some to the pot and some to them e.g $2 tourny is 30cents on poker.co.uk

William Hill is my choice of game.
You can bet in sterling and the graphics are nice and sleek in my view.
Confucius say "man who know wombat know more than stupid looking monkey"
Confucius also say "man who know Kebab has 60 inch waist"
Confucius finally add "man may deal, but man may not 'know' deal"

Party poker is full of fish. In fact, go to any site that is currently being plugged on TV, radio, billboards or any other mass media.
