Some popular books on Holdem strategies are:

Play Poker Like the Pros by Phil Hellmuth Jr
Hold'Em Poker for Advanced Players by Sklansky/Malmuth
Hey, I'm looking for a poker strategy guide - particularly for Texas Holdem. I've found plenty of Blackjack strategy guides and such... I'm just not a very good poker player and I'd lik eto get better. Any ideas?

Is there any online guides on the subject?

i start
if u have a pair in ur hand then give the other 3 to carder dont hold any of 3 cards on your hand
Take a look at the book: "Poker, a Guaranteed Income for Life" by Frank Wallace. The author went on in later years to develop his own religion based on pure logic, Neo-tech. Very interesting guy, though some think he flipped. Read some of the reviews on Amazon, you might find it interesting.
Aside from that, the book that most pros read as far as I'm aware is Doyle Brunson's Super System. The Poker Bible.
thanks, james, for the suggestion of the book.. definitely going to check that out. as far as strategy, my general strategy is to fold, lol. just... fold. cheers,
john
