Can the lottery be manipulated? If the lottery is being manipulated, this is how I think it could be done. The UK National lottery uses 49 rubber balls; what if, the 6 balls they want to be drawn, contain metal filings embeded in the rubber. This a long with the opening of the chute where the balls drop into the tray being magnetised, by passing a small current around the rim; would result in those 6 balls been selected? Have you ever noticed how there seems to be a group of balls stuck at the bottom of the drum? The new machines they use now are smaller, this reduces the amount of space the balls are allowed to tumble. What your views guys?

Do you think the lottery is being manipulated? Take lastnight's draw 19/06/10: 34-37-39-41-42-47, there were 4 winners of the jackpot. I believe these were lucky dips, this is my reason. The 4 middle numbers 37-39-41-42 all appear naturally together in a line with the combination that was drawn lastnight; this shouldn't happen if the numbers are drawn at random? Any one agree?

You're right there Spot, that's another reason why I think they were all lucky dips. No one in their right minds would pick those set of numbers and, the number combination was the 3-3 combination, which doesn't get drawn all that often.
What are the odds?
Random numbers can appear in the strangest patterns.
Do they not check the balls before each draw?
hello...here in the USA, many people suspect lotto drawings are not truly live.
some claim that rigged video is queued up after cross-referencing with live tickets database...to allow monster jackpots to accumulate, generating more hype & revenue.

I believe lotteries everywhere is manipulated by Lady Luck and her associates in deciding who deserves to win; I can't say they got it right all the time..
all broadcast have a slight time delay so the person can say number 34 as been drawn 100 times in the 3 years (example not a true fact ) and was last drawn on what ever date it was drawn last. Yes it says live draw but if its videod live it can be said to be live
