Are the lottery numbers really being drawn at random? Take last nights numbers: 5-26-43-46-47-49=216. Two draws ago these numbers were drawn: 11-27-46-47-48-49=228. The same number combination; 1-1-4 twice out of three draws the numbers have added up to a number in the 200's; this is unusual?
They might add up to 200+ for the next ten draws, don't prove a lot does it? with random numbers, random circumstances do and will occur.
Interesting Thread. I'm going to believe that it is not rigged. Mainly because I see no need for it to be rigged. The chances of winning are small and there is no need for the lottery to change the odds in either direction. They get what they want from the 14 odd million possible results, attempts at increasing the odds in their favor would be pointless (already seriously in their favor) and if you look at the way the whole lottery works (I mean all the charity work etc) then you'll see that the way the lottery is now works best for them. The only way to make it more profitable for them is to add more games. Thunderball anyone?
As for looking at the results of recent number and suggesting there is a pattern. well TBH I believe Greenowl is clutching at straws now. The minimum all the numbers in the lottery can add up to is 21 and thats 1-6. the most is 279 and that's 44-49. So really its gotta be in the 100's or 200's. Just over 1 4th of the possible results are over 200 so it isn't really strange at all. Any pattern you think you see in the results of the lottery up until now are completely meaningless as we have seen less than 0.001% of the possible results that can come from the 49ball lottery and making any assumptions based on that much data would be irresponsible at best.
Its like calling cheat when a roulette table comes up with the same number twice in a row. Its unlikely yes. but if that table has been used for years and has run maybe 500k-1mil turns then its gotta happen at least once and someone has to be there to witness it. And since that person hasn't witnessed the other 999998 turns where it never came up the same number in a row doesn't mean they were cheated does it?
It would seem to me that the lottery is fairly big and if there was any chance it was rigged then someone with the authority to look into it would have cottoned on. The scale of conspiracy required to keep a rigged national lottery under wraps is mind boggling and would be a huge waste of energy on all those involved. considering how profitable the idea is without rigging.

Right, if the lottery is cosher then, let's ask Camelot to draw the balls manually from a drum, where the sides can be opened so people can see inside before the balls are placed in the drum; I bet they wont do it. It would be a lot cheaper than using machines and a lot more reliable too. How do we know that the number of people they say have won a share of the jackpot, actualy exist? Call me sceptical if you wish but, untill this happens I will still have my doubts! We have another big Euro millions jackpot up for grabs again, this time the winner or winners will be abroad?
the only way to manipulate the draw is to fix the balls. either by changing the weight, size, static electricity or magnetism of the balls
