Hello all,
This is my first post on the forums, so firstly hello to everybody.
I recently contacted the UK National Lottery to ask them how I go about telling them of a new game idea that I have.
They replied with a link to new game suggestions. After reading through the page I wasn't satisfied with what I would gain from this.
They said that my main reward would be the satisfaction of seeing thousands of people playing my new game. As good as that does sound, I would like to benefit from this financially also, I don't see anything wrong with that especially as this new game will make and save them millions as well as other benefits. Not only that, I have taken the time to think up the game and all the workings etc.
So my question here is, does anybody know if there is a way of starting an online lottery or any other route to take.
My lottery game idea will 100% guarantee not just one but up to 4 millionaires a week! It will also be much easier to play than the national lottery. There are no rollovers because the jackpots will be won every week.
It will be a shame to just let this idea fall to the wayside. The thing is I don't want to just sit back and watch up to 4 people a week become millionaires if I gave the idea to camelot and think "My idea made them people millionaires" and not benefit myself.
Any help, suggestions, ideas, eureka moments, pearls of wisdom would be much appreciated at this point.
Kind Regards
Craig
I think that there are laws against people starting their own Lottery. Maybe Camelot should pay you for your idea, but they already have enough games running. I am a game designer, and could probably come up with 10 new Lottery games, but obviously there is no reward in it. You may as well just send Camelot the idea as you will never get anywhere with it yourself.
Your game probably is better. For the players.
But you have to remember lottery companies like games that are harder to win. Look at the success of MegaMillions and Powerball in the US. Terrible odds for a lottery game.
But rollovers create bigger jackpots. And bigger jackpots sell a lot more tickets.
No it doesn't make sense. But sadly most players are simply blinded by the huge jackpot amounts.
Post an email to me at info@lotto-systems.co.uk whilst I can't help directly (i.e. I wouldn't be able to underwrite such a project) I may have a ..... cunning plan!
....and seriously I would be happy to sign up to a confidentiality agreement if required.

p.s. I note you're in Cardiff and I am diaried (subject to innevitable change) to be down there on business in a few weeks. If the idea's any good I'd be happy to have a beer at the village in Coryton and discuss?
