I came across this forum a few days ago when I was looking for a syndicate to join to get in on the recent Euro Millions super bonus draw. All I could find were the commercial syndicates. I am not interested in discussing the various commercial syndicates. That topic has been well covered in other threads on this forum. I am not interested in commercial syndicates because their fees are way too high. The lottery companies already keep 50% of the ticket price. That is a big enough cut as it is. I probably have already said too much and given people an option to debate some more. Please, no commercial syndicate debates on this thread.
Here is my question. Does anyone know of any non-commercial syndicates that buy tickets for either the UK National Lottery or Euro Millions? I am looking for your basic workplace or office syndicate that has expanded to allow for members of the public to join. Most office syndicates are relatively small. To substantially reduce the odds to a reasonable level, I think it is a good idea to expand the size of a syndicate to be commensurate with the size of the jackpots played. Thanks. |

There has been no response to my inquiry. I will try a different angle.
I assume there must be many office syndicates out there but they are not interested in allowing outsiders to join. There are many good reasons for this rule. Just to list a few: - do not trust strangers - do not want the hassle of transferring money - do not want the hassle of currency exchange - want to keep the group restricted to workers and friends So I offer a different approach. Naturally, as per my previous post on this topic, I am interested in joining lottery syndicates. Therefore it should come as no surprise that I belong to a number of syndicates already that play the Canadian lotteries and one that plays the Mega Millions in the US. I like to cover all the bases. Here is the pitch. It someone would let me in on their UK or Euro Millions syndicate, they can then also join one of my syndicates. We can work out the cost to make it even so that no money has to change hands, unless of course one of the syndicates wins big time. I welcome comments for and against this idea even if you do not have a syndicate offer to make. Thanks. |

Sounds like an interesting thread, always interested to learn which synidicates are good and which are dodgy?
I personally feel that a commercial established syndicate would be more trustworthy for dividing payouts over office syndicates, but that's just my opinion. |

Sounds interesting. If you find a site doing this or organize it, please let me know.
Question: Would it be restricted to UK-only players or foreigners would be accepted as well? Are there any legal restrictions for this? |

The lottery groups (syndicates) that I organize can be found by doing a search for Mario's Lottery Groups. They are run like a commercial syndicate as in they are very well organized but there are no fees or funds withheld. All monies collected are used to buy tickets. Anyone can join. Check it out. I welcome feedback.

I googled "Mario's Lottery Groups" and the scheme looks useful. My only concern that is not answered in the FAQs is how legally binding the agreement is and which country's laws is it bound by?

I tried "You Play We Play" for Euro Millions' Jul 25th draw. Looks good, with a reasonable markup (GBP +0.5, total GBP 2.0). I will let you know how it went. If you try it, please declare me as your referer (olw1). Good luck!
