Since the smoking ban came into force in Scotland ( a year later in England ) my arcade business has suffered badly. Before the ban came in 90% or more of my punters enjoyed a fag or two as they played on the machines. Now most of these smoking punters never come in and the very few who do are being forced by this stupid law to interrupt their session on the machines and stand outside in the cold to have a smoke. This is most unfair. The situation is even worse in bingo halls where again most of the players are smokers. Venues such as pubs, clubs & arcades and bingo halls should be allowed to have well ventilated INDOOR smoking areas. I do not & never have agreed with smoking in cafes & eating places. Long distance trains should also have a smoking car like they used to. What are your views on this subject? Oh, & by the way I am a NON smoker.![]()

Two bad on those chain smoker, I think even they ban smoking, this will always stay as habit for many people who can't control smoking in private property.
something needs sorting coz pubs since the smoking ban are rubbish no one goes out and instead of the smell of smoke you have the nasty smell of ppl and toilets and i hate having to walk through a load of moaning ppl stood in the doorway in the freezing cold having a fag just to get inside... if pubs and clubs, amusements and bingo halls had separate smoking rooms my bet is there would be the busy room while the none smoking room would be quiet..... i smoked but quit 4 years ago :-0

I think that they should have had another kind of approach with the smoking ban... I've been a smoker for a while now but everytime I tried to quit, the smoke in the air seemed to be a real pain for me..so I started to wonder how annoying it is for a non smoker to be forced to smoke by being in the same environment.
On the other hand, I think they should create a cosy smoking area for the ones who smokes... fair enough. The media pushed us into smoking by depicting cool ads for fags and now that they banned they treat smokers like weirdos and anti-socials by forcing them to smoke in the cold or uncomfortable areas...
if you think logicaly the govement was built to protect its citzens so in a way that is what it is doing protecting its people. smoking is bad for you it harms you and in most case will lead to a early death. i cant think of any benifits it gives people say it relaxs me well take up yoga at least that wont kill you in the end. i was a smoker and im glad i gave up my health is better than before and the money i have saved i put towards a hobby to relax me
Can't stand second hand smoke, glad the ban is in place!
I Support the ban on smoking. However, if the business is suffering, then you could assign a little area for smokers. I am certainly No Fan of secondhand smoke.
