Walking away is easy. The hard part is standing up.
Very solid too. I'm not marking any of these I don't think, marking seems to harsh, but if i were i'd give it a good score for sure.
On the subject of Piano's, i just to get my parents to play this song on the olde record player all the time when I was young. I wasn't really into him so much as just this song. I bit cheesy probably but meh, i still really like it.

Just say I love this thread. Its amazing how one person could love a song/band and someone think its the worst thing in the world. Its all down to taste and opinion. Thats the beauty of music.
@ Dice: I appreciate you takin the time to review the tunes, even though I may not agree, still nice to read your thoughts.
@ SGMF: They have played live. Although one bloke was off touring with the "commercially successful" DCFC so he would send vocals, etc... back and forth with his band mate. So they may well have performed in Eng, but nothing recently. Postal Service were huge on the "underground" and although they didnt have amazing commercial success they are v popular and have inspired alot of current bands...so says!
@ Tyler: Will try and get on MSN later mate.
Next...
Something abit more instrumental. Andy McKee a YouTube phenomThis guy is amazing, he was actually in Bristol at Thekla but i bloody missed him.
Song kicks in @ 43ish secs, v talented.

OK. I am here to save this thread, lol.
I have three songs. One main stream, one not and the other a complete raw talent.
1) YouTube - JJ72 - October Swimmer
2) Ok this is a major risk but a very meaningful song and imo well done. Its a little left field but pretty cool imo: YouTube - James Carrington Ache
3) Now seeing as everyone is using youtube i will include this song because it is in its rawest form. She worte the song her self a few years ago - she doesnt have a record deal and writes her own stuff and puts it on you tube - so i give her 10/10 just for doing that. She has actually opened up shows for Ben Folds in the US and i am going to pick her to be a star of the future: Introducing Julie Nunes; YouTube - First Impressions (original Julia Nunes)
All three of completly random left field choices but all awesome in their own ways.
Its a bit hard joining this thread so deep in, even though its only a day old as there has been so much posted I would have to listen for about an hour if i wanted to hear it all, so have been clicking then listening for about half of each song then moving on.
I like the Stay Crunchy vid. I really like this type of music, but usually ration it as i get a bit bored after not hearing any lyrics for 40 minutes. Pryda is meh, ok, but nothing really new or original there. The Postal Service was a bit meh too. I dont have anything against it to vote it a 0/10 like Dice, but wimpy male voices are so last decade. Sandy Denny is not my bag, and cant remember much more.
Edit - opened thread on other tab to have another look. Thought I better comment on Tom Pich's choices as he started the thread. Adele Track - good. i like her voice and dont mind drum and bass, again in limited quantities, so thought this worked well. Me old foot was tapping.
Joe Lean - meh. ok, i turned it off when they sang "sha la la" no thanks.
Mando Diao - sounds like franz ferdninands singer, and oddly sounds a bit like the song i am going to post a link to at the end of this reply.
Camera Obscura seem interesting in a way. Sounds very 80's and i was quite surprised to see this is current. Nice driving bassline is always a thumbs up, but the vocals sound like a lot of other female singers from the past.
Ok thats my reviews so far.
My contributions include a track made famous in a car advert.
Camille - Senza
Second is belter of a rock song from Bad Religion American Jesus
Third is a dance track that I'm almost certain I first saw as the backing track over some sort of porn compilation. Yet again proving that porn is good - and is the one that sounds like woodys choice. Hmmmmm. upon looking for it on Youtube i have found that its been deleted due to copyright restrictions. there is this version which is ok, but i prefer the original. Well the video anyway Young Love - find a way to dance
And lastly or otherwise this will just become ridiculous my favourite track from my favourite band of all time. And they're from Belgium - go figure. dEUS - Suds and Soda - live version
You may dislike them all. Hope not.
Thanks
John
