The only game i like and can pwn is the Tony Hawk series... absolutly brillliant.

Just bought an xbox360 so any suggestions for what to buy would be appreciated Bear in mind that i dont like shoot em ups but more strategy/skill based games. Cant stand fighting ones. Cant stand racing games. Love mario kart but they dont have that on xbox

I don't consider myself much of a gamer, but the games I've loved over the past few years have been all the Pro Evolution Soccer games: they just never get old. You could play them several hours a day and not get bored I think. At the moment my favourite game is Left4Dead, which is just awesome (especially 4 player over a LAN network). I also quite like a bit of the old battle type games: Age of Empires, Dawn of War, Imperial Glory and Total War games. My computer's not good enough to run Imperial Total War which looks amazing. With the exception of L4D and PES games I don't really care about being behind a few years when it comes to the latest games, consoles, operating systems etc. AFAIC they'll still be around in a few years.

Oh yeah, L4D is about to go to a new level of win, as they've released the level-making software and in about a month there should be hundreds of new campaigns to play. Obviously not as good as the originals, but I suspect the best ones will definitely be worth playing.

I dont really play anything else at the mo I was hooked on Street Fighter 4 for a bit but its online game selecting is naff and you usually have to try 5-6 times before you even get in a game. When you do it is usually against some Japanese master who perfects your ass

Dan from what I understand COD 5 was a remake of COD 3 (World War II times) but using the new game engine as it did in COD 4. COD 5 graphics are slightly better and it feels much more smoother when playing

I bought COD 4 but after COD 5 the actual game is probably better but for online play COD5 wins hands down.
Saying that though COD 4 does have one of the funniest online maps "Shipment" pure and utter carnage it is a map that should really be played with a maximum of 4 players but they use is for 12 player games. You can just spawn/die that whole game
Next one is Modern Warfare 2 so back to current time weapons etc

i love the fact that none of the games in Matt's top 5 are remotely new . Cant choose both Matt it is either Track&Field or Hyper Sports they are two different games.
Matt what is your record for the high jump on T&F + do you know the cheats on how to get the dead turkey in the javelin
