Quite a few here are from Bristol, so I ask: Where is the best place to go out for a Sunday Lunch in Brizzle?
Walking away is easy. The hard part is standing up.
Thats embarrasing! Poor KC.
As for the original Q about roast...
The best roast i have had was at the SevernShed on the harbour (near thekla). Food was awesome, service was great and on a sunny day the you cant beat a better location. It is a tad on the expensive side and cost me £50 for roast, dessert and a couple of drinks but well worth it.
Also, a very good place is Hotel Du Vin - the food and serive is top class although i dont think their bisto opens for sunday lunch anymore.
And if you want complete value for money, over cooked veg, shoddy service but a MASSIVE plateful of food then Toby Carvery is the place to go as i gurantee you wont go away still feeling peckish!
Nowhere in Bristol can beat this place for Quality + Value + Opening times.

£50 for two people to eat a sunday roast!?! Fucks sake, I would expect a waitress to blow me under the table for that much.
And swallow.
£50 Mofo u ARE a retard
Trouble follows this bag of bones
I went to waitrose and made my own in the end. gert lush mind.
I've never been to the Seven Shed for Sunday Lunch, but I do agree it's generally pretty nice although a tad expensive. I reckon i'll give it a try next time. Thanks for the suggestion.

Blimey, you Swedemunching types don't know you're born innit? About 5 years ago I invited my new landlady for Sunday breakfast at a local bistro type place, to discuss the flat and rules and regs etc. 2 x English Breakfast, good enough, but not big, 2 pots tea, 2 pints afterwards.
£48.00.
Bastards. Would have been better just paying the rent on time to get round the landlady.
"That's a typical shabby Nazi trick, Wilson"
Hey it was bloody nice! lol...
It was a few years ago and the roast was something like £15 a pop at the time. Desserts were about £5-6 each! lol.... and as for the drinks.... OMFG!!!!!!!!!!
However, this is rossette standard restaurant and £50 is about the going rate.
I have been to Michael Caines restaurant (not the actor the chef!) and a sample menu which is 7 courses with a bottle of wine, glass of champers, canapes and coffee was about £120 for two of us.... again this is actually a very reasonable price giving that he has two michelin stars. As for the food... it was fuckin amazing!!!
