From the list above, my fav 5 would be:

The Shawshank Redemption
Pulp Fiction
Se7en
The Matrix
Raiders of the Lost Ark

I haven't seen that "There Will Be Blood" yet, but it looks awesome in the trailer.

The Shawshank Redemption
The Matrix
American Beauty
Se7en

I can only do four!! Notable exclusions that would be some of my all time favs are: Being John Malkovich, Donnie Darko, Freddy got fingered, Blade runner, Breakfast club, Waterworld, LA Confidential, The colour purple, Goodwill hunting & Forest Gump.

WTF is Lord of the Rings doing in there? I watched the first 30 mins of the first one and had to walk out of the cinema - yes it was that bad!

I can understand people not liking lord of the rings as a whole franchise type thing, but the films are all truly exceptional. To say they are bad is redic, not personal taste fair enough.

Never has a film taken on such an ambitious book and come out trumps like that. I really wanted to hate all those films just cause the books are so good (imo) and I didn't want it to ruin the images i'd made in my imagination. I can't think of a better book to film adaptation.

Shawshank is way up there with that rather large statement.
