Has anybody got Google Earth? I downloaded it yesterday and spent most of the day playing with it. Some places have really good zooms and you can see a lot. For example you can see loads of people lounging around the Bellagio's swimming pool, and in Birmingham I can actually see that my attic window is open. I think it must have been recorded in July or Septermber because there's nobody at university but there are kids at my old school, plus it's pretty sunny. In Whitby you can't even see the abbey so it's not great all over the place.
Only American and Japanese cities have got 3D buildings at the moment, but they're working on a totally 100% 3D London which is a pretty big task. Anyway, enjoy these screenshots:
Tokyo
The Bellagio, that huge fountain was where they shot a few Oceans 11 scenes. And the Eiffel Tower at the bottom is the replica one they have in Las Vegas
Mount Everest

All Google Earth images have been taken by either satelites or planes within the past 3 years and are updated on a rolling basis.
