Hi Frank
It can be very tough to relax after a losing visit, especially if you went over what you intended to bet.
I tend to analyze what I did and if there was anything i could of done.
As roulette players we have to prepare for the fact that we may lose, one way of minimizing this is to set yourself a target of how much you want to win and how much you are willing to lose, and you MUST stick with these paramaters you have set yourself.
After losing it can be difficult to concentrate on normal things, get irritated quickly with people, have a short tempe etc. The thing to realise is that you are only angry at yourself and these feelings will pass. best to just sit down and calm down, have a cup of tea, eat and do normal things, slowly you will accept that loss and prepare for your next visit.
Gambling should not take over your life, it should be to enhance it, the winnings used to buy things you want to have or go places you want to go, by target setting as mentioned above losses will be minimized and wins maximized.

It is always important to set your limits and follow them. That way, before you start the game, you will be prepared for the losses. Let's say you want to spend £20 - not a big loss if you lose it, at the same time not a big winning if you win £40. But it's a safe way to get some serious money in a long run!
The most important point would be to distract yourself, however it can be very hard to do sometimes, especially if you have lost much money. But you make some preparations before you are playing. You should set a stop loss for yourself - stop loss would be the amount of money you can afford to lose and therefore you don't play beyond this amount. So when losing less you will less likely be in a very bad mood after losing, because you know that you have lost only the money you could afford to lose.
This is not a bad idea, however it's all about positive thinking and realising that you may just end up out of pocket and resign your self to that fact
Before you start playing at all, agree what your budget will be - And STICK to it. You should never gamble with money you cannot afford to lose. You should always buy food / pay your bills / rent / mortgage etc first before gambling. Never gamble to get money for your bills - it can be disastrous.
Responsible gambling is all about staying in control. Stick to a budget, play for only a limited amount of time, agree a win limit (e.g. a point at which you will STOP playing if you win), etc. If you don't have discipline / control, do NOT play. In this way you avoid the stress. If you've stayed in control and to a limit, then you'll not be as stressed if you lose.
Saying that, we're not all perfect, and you're right that from time to time we'll exceed our intended budgets. When that happens it can be a sad and stressful time indeed. My advice then is to STOP playing. Call up family or friends and get yourself away from the computer for a while. Go to the gym or do exercise somewhere else - great for stress release. Have a sauna. Have sex. Have a glass of wine (but only one, not ten). Go to the beach. Watch TV you enjoy. Do anything to keep you off the computer - because in front of it, there is temptation to play more, or to join another online casino (there's about 8000 of them now), at a time when your mind is stressed and you're not in control.
If you're really feeling down about the loss, get help. 0800 GAMCARE or similar organisations are just a phone call away.
