DARE TO BE DIFFERENT !
All gambling, including roulette , involves uncertainty .Uncertainty creates risk which means that the gambler risks losing some or all of his betting stake . It is the aim of the gambler to overcome that uncertainty by any legal means .
The roulette player should not be put off by spurious claims that he is certain to lose in the long term . This does not mean that he will win .The plain ,indisputable, fact is that no one knows what will happen since the result of each spin of the wheel is random and therefore unknowable until after the event.
PROBABILITY THEORY
It can be argued that it is “highly improbable “ that a bettor can win in the long term but “highly improbable “ does not mean “ Certain “ .The fact is, that we cannot be certain of either winning - or losing - over any lengthy period , but that applies to many - if not all -gambling activities and not only roulette.
Probability theory deals with uncertainty and not certainty. There are only two certainties in Probability Theory- zero% and 100% - and roulette is neither of these.
IT WAS HIGHLY IMPROBABLE
That the Fukuyama nuclear plant would be hit with the double whammy of an earthquake AND a typhoon
BUT iT HAPPENED !
In the 1956 Grand National the late Queen Mother’s horse was lengths in front with only 50 yards to go - but did a belly flop - and lost. Again , the HIGHLY IMPROBABLE HAPPENED !
The Highly Improbable can and does happen so should not be mistaken for certainty.
When he offers 100 / 1 on a horse the bookie obviously thinks it winning is Highly Improbable but he doesn’t think it is certain to lose .
So why do critics of roulette playing claim certainty where there is only uncertainty ?
THE WHEEL HAS NO MEMORY
It is claimed that we cannot use previous winning numbers as a guide because “the wheel has no memory “!
Be honest guys ! Have you ever heard anyone claim that the Roulette Wheel had a memory ?Not only that, do you know anyone who has ever heard anyone else claim this ?
We can ,indeed , use previous winning numbers as a guide to our betting.
Gamblers should be able use any legitimate means to try to beat The House and it is ridiculous to claim that we cannot use previous winning numbers in that quest .
ROULETTE IS A GAME OF “PURE CHANCE “ ?
All gambling , including roulette , involves “ chance “ but roulette is singled out as a game of “Pure Chance “ which ,in this instance, means that there is no skill attached to the game.
All maths is about juggling with numbers , so why can we not juggle the numbers in roulette ?
We can juggle the numbers to give us OUTS in roulette .Considering OUTS in poker is “ a skill” so why is it not” a skill “ in roulette ?
It is routinely said that there is only luck in roulette .It is also said that there is no need to justify this view as “ everybody knows “
I don’t , so tell me ! If you can !
Gambling is about winning or losing money - entertainment is only incidental -so don ‘t believe the guff that it is only entertainment.
SO MY ADVICE IS - THINK FOR YOURSELVES !
DARE TO BE DIFERENT !
Dare to be different, live in hope and all that. But still there is an expectation of loss in the long term. Faith and hope are great things, but mathematics do not lie. Sure, sometimes a long shot does come in... but it's not often, as the mathematics would suggest.

You fail to folllow the logic of your own statement about the expectatioin. It is just that - expectation not the certainty you claim.
You fail to understand "the long run " and are unaware that NO ONE dare say how long the long run is.I challenge you to say how long your long run is.
So, the Long Run is irrelevant to actual gambling .It is theoretical as the long run might not end until your Great,Great Grandchild has a Great Great Grandchild !
Will you live so long ?
And Yes , it is possible to use maths to give the bettor an Edge -but like the casinos Edge-it is theoretical.
Like too many others who post on these sites you fail to recognise that gambling involves uncertainty so no one can predict with certainty that the bettor will win - or lose. Except clairvoyants like you !
