    REPORTING TO: UK Operations Director

    MAIN OBJECTIVES OF JOB
    :

    The role holder will be responsible and accountable for, in the first instance, the Casino Nottingham ALEA. Whilst gaming is the focus of the casino, the Venue Director will also be accountable for all ancillary departments, full F&B offerings, marketing and customer relations activities and all staff.

    LOCATION: Nottingham, United Kingdom but the jobholder may be called upon to perform duties at any of the company’s other clubs or locations, with reasonable notice.

    WORKING HOURS: 40+ hrs across a 24/7 operation with flexibility to provide service and contact at varying times, dependant upon the needs of the business and will be heavily weighted to nights and weekends.

    MAIN DUTIES –:


    Business Plans: Creation of annual business plan for the casino identifying EBITDA goals; growth drivers; attendance targets, service targets etc. Management of these plans through the casino management and staffing team,making adjustments as necessary during the year. Identification of key areas of priority for resource – employees; marketing spend etc. to enable delivery of the annual plan.
    Marketing: Demonstrate history of profitable marketing programmes with domestic and, where appropriate,ethnic segments. Extensive experience in loyalty programmes, capable of instructing knowledge of house advantage algorithms, player ratings, comp reinvestment, and targeting specific high worth guests for allocation of sales force tasks. Partner with corporate marketing team to devise marketing strategies and tactics appropriate to the unique needs of the specific casino. Experience with domestic and ethnic special events.
    Metrics:Establish and proactively monitor key business metrics for the property.
    Leadership: Developing a best in industry team through talent assessment, development, training and recruitment (where necessary). Creating an environment where employees are engaged, challenged and supported to be the best they can be, such that the casino is identified as a great place to work across the leisure/hospitality industry. Proven track record in identifying trends and changing the business to ensure profitability. Demonstrates managerial courage to provide positive and corrective feedback to subordinates and staff members.
    Integrity: Initiate plans and maintain controls necessary to fulfil our Code of Commitment, including a goal of being clearly recognised as the role model in the industry for Responsible Gaming. Actively reach out to support our local communities. Represent the organization on industry bodies/matters.
    Customer Service: Foster a culture where customer service is a single aligning passion for all our employees, standards of service remain consistent and employees continually improve upon the service they deliver. Additionally, housekeeping, marketing/promotional materials and presentation standards in all customer areas within the property should first class and consistent throughout.
    Gaming:Provide leadership on gaming operations and development issues. Ensure compliance with protocols for decisions onstrategic gaming decisions. Ensuring staffing levels are consistent with business levels and are in proportion with revenues to provide a profitable gaming business. Utilising managers to become business leaders that operate and grow a business rather than performing robotic tasks and processes.
    Electronic Gaming:Finding opportunities to innovate on electronic gaming and slot product
    Other:Input into development plans for casino, new business initiatives and 3rd party relationships.


    Any other duties as reasonably requested by the line manager or company

    GAMING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED


    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    Gaming Expertise:Strong table and slot experience across multiple jurisdictions to ensure the casino is at the leading edge of gaming operations globally and nationally. Strong background in Asian games, particularly pai gow and variations of punto banco (including macau style) a distinct advantage. Champion of new games and constantly striving to increase the house advantage through side bets and progressives.
    Commercial Breadth:Breadth of experience outside the traditional gaming arena e.g. development projects; non-gaming business expansion. Broad commercial outlook to create long and short term plans for significantly growing the UK EBITDA
    People Management: A demonstrated passion for employee engagement; building teams; advancing talent; being rigorous on underperformance and taking appropriate action.
    Decisive analytical and critical thinking skills. Capacity to quickly digest and synthesise information, develop strategy, direct the execution of the strategy, fine tune, and revise strategy as needed. Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritise as appropriate.
    Caesar’s operating model: Ideally have experienceor understanding of the core Caesar’s operating model of using brands to stimulate trial, enveloping customers in excellent service and use of technology and decision science to build customer loyalty.
    Customer development. Experience of running VIP and mass market customer development activities.
    Marketing: Experience of multi-cultural marketing activities
    Partnerships:Experience of finding and managing third party relationships to grow the business e.g. sponsorships; events
    Scale:Experience of casino operations with daily attendance levels.
    Slot Development:Cutting edge knowledge of developments in slot and electronic gaming product across different jurisdictions. Experience of managing relationships between operators; suppliers; regulators

    Additional Information
    Salary range - Up to £70,000 (c$110,000.00) plus pension, private healthcare etc

    The role is more than just running a casino but leading and managing a large scale leisure complex. There are 100 staff on site, restaurants, bars, a poker room, gaming tables, slots and an events space.
    An upbeat and postive attitude coupled with the ability to facilitate change through employee engagement is what we require. The ideal candidate would understand the concept of working in a high performance culture, be forward thinking and idea's focused.

    Don't know about this one. I don't THINK it is spammy but I could be wrong. At least it is fully gambling related!

    I've never earned anything like that amount, but that is one HELL of a lot of duties & responsibilities for up to £70K/year.
    I would want at least 3 or 4 times that much to do that job!

    Sitting on my arse at home tinkering around on a laptop seems a much better life to me!
