A site near Wigan, Magenta Casino Xpress at Hindley has installed a casino style real wheel multiplayer roulette set up
Its limited to £1 total stake but it can pay out £70 on a win
Heard from a couple of people now but not seen it myself yet, might put that right today.

What type of site is it? eg. bookies,AGC, club etc.?
It sounds to me like an AGC (Adult Gaming Centre)

It is indeed an AGC, but the kit looks as if its come straight out of a casino to me - the automatic wheel is beautiful and the cabinets are very swish
It is badged up as Category C - hence the £1 stake, £70 jackpot. You choose the chip value (10p, 20p, 50p & £1 I think) and it pays out on numbers / splits etc. as you would expect, but then it offers a 'double up' chance to convert the win from the wheel to up to £70. Its pretty good gameplay actually. Its a 6 player set up there and there were 2 people that looked as they were there for the day when I had a look in. Winnings paid out as a ticket that is redeemed at the cash desk.
I NEED to see this. Please can you arrange a picture soon?

easiest way to see the kit - or something very similar - is to go to your nearest casino, look at its electronic roulette and voila, you have seen it.
check your email too and you will have the one of the pics I took by now
Here is a picture for you all to see this. (Thanks to JPJPJP)

If you ask me, I would say that this is set up badly. The wheel should be in the centre with the four terminals around it. Anyone else agree with me?

There are actually 6 terminals, two to the left out of shot (with players on them). It was easy to see the wheel from every terminal. I think a hexagon shape, with the wheel in the middle would have been slightly better, but I am not sure that would fit into that particular shop. The players seemed to be enjoying it, visibly participating when the ball dropped!
Hi Guys
Is this one of those "air wheels " ?
And is it "regulated " by the Gambling Commission ?
In other words - can we trust it's fairness ?
Yes, it uses air to put the ball in play
I asked about the Gambling Commission regulation and the manager told me that the wheel is approved & the manufacturer has necessary licences
So yes, I think its as fair as any other automated wheel you would see in any licensed casino etc.
Because it has to offer £70 payouts to comply with the Category C rules, it doesn't really matter what happens on the wheel - the software can control the number of £70 payouts (which are achieved on a yes/no double up gamble) to keep its payout at the right level.
The more I think of it, the more I want to go back there and play some more!
