    Default Online roulette

I'm pretty new to online casinos. A few months ago, I put £50 into an online casino that was on sky tv one friday night. After two weeks I had turned this into over £9000 by just doing 'sensible' bets on roulette. It took about 2 weeks to verify by bank details, where I had to do a lot of complaining while they were 'checking my betting history'. Mysteriously, I started loosing after that but still managed to withdraw over £4000 that month.

I registered with several other 'live tv' casinos and did the same thing, with the same results. I kept the same betting strategy and I expected to win and loose, but I can never acheive the original results.

At one time, I had £100 bets on straight numbers and was winning £3600 a spin.

Has anyone noticed the way the ball 'drops' into the wheel with a distinct judder that you don't notice in a real casino or is it just me??!!

One more thing. Last weekend I made £400 on a 'computer generated' wheel on sky. I developed a strategy based on how everyone else was betting but tonight they managed to take £300 back with me basically loosing the 'safest' of bets?? hmmm Random number generators are strange things?

I have spent many hours on this, but don't believe in extremely long runs of success or failure! Any similar experiences??

    Lenny,

Gambling and statistics are strange things, interesting story.

Regarding the graphics 'judder', I would point out that the number is chosen before the wheel actually spins. The spin is merely the pretty bit, for the punters. In a bookies, the cashier knows if you've won or lost before you do because the result can be displayed on their monitor before the spin finishes. So if the game crashes during the spin but after the start, the computer will still know the result and you will still be paid any winnings (or losses)....Hope that makes sense.

As for your mysterious wins and losses, can't help on that one. There are similar kinds of stories throughout the Internet and some online Casinos are definitely suspect, but probably not the big names (Ladbrokes etc.). Don't know about the tv stuff. However, I think that we would have heard by now by a disgruntled employee or programmer, the same way that bugs are surreptitiously introduced into fruities by software engineers for their own good....leaks out eventually and someone gets sacked. Never heard a peep about software roulette though, despite years of searching and alleged weird results. Maybe that's all they are, statistically weird results.
