I recently joined a casino and at the weekend i won 1000.I only deposited about 100 pound with them. Now all of a sudden they want me to sign and fax documents back to them i am so annoyed i have no way of doing this, has this ever happened to anyone before.
yes its kind of normal I'm afraid.....
Don't fax the docs, get in touch with support and ask for other methods of proving that you are:
1) Over 18
2) you live here you say you do
I had a small prob like this, sorted it on the phone by getting them find me on the electoral roll

I'm afraid this is very common practise by online casinos as an anti-fraud check.
As long as the casino is reputable I would have no worries about doing this - I've done it dozens of times.
(You should be able to send scanned documents instead, if that's easier for you)
I just hope you haven't got caught by one of the rogue or scam casinos who unfortunately do trap & rip-off some players... would you care to name the casino in question?

I did this once. It was fine. However my Paypal account is seemingly compromised fortnightly. Every now and again somebody tries buying stuff online with it and a few days later I get reimbursed and my account closed.
Bizarre innit, that in these times we are expected to FAX the details of our bank accounts and identity details. Identity theft could not be easier than this. With this info even the dullest half-wit could make off with £1000s. There must be a better way. IMHO FAX was obsolete before it became generally available, now it is like using potato prints or wax seals. I had to go to the local dodgy Internet cafe to scan my Driving licence, recent bills and ***** so as to access my neteller account. Matey behind the counter, no doubt a fine upstanding law-abiding young man............. or an Al-Quaeda activist, Russian Grifter or general small-time miscreant, could have simply retained the scan and made merry with the details, or sold them on to someone else. Surely there is a better way. Matt, how does P.CO.CK deal with this?

It is normal practice.
I recomend you to check their terms and conditions.
It should be indicated there.
Did you recieved any bonuses from them?
it's simple, just stick to a trusted and well known casino... WillHill verify your ID by cross checking your account details with the card used... its not rocket science, and to be fair when there could be big money involved of course these types of policies have to be in place!

I assume I must have deposited money by credit card so that would validate my age, and the fact they send the pin number to your home address effectively verifies this too.
iirc though I could withdraw the first few hundred euros without entering my pin number - then you reach a limit where you need the pin every withdrawl.
