Default Has anyone ever been banned from an online casino?

What kinds of activities could result in you getting banned?

It's a long stretch I know but I was wondering... if someone found a way of legitimately and consistently winning small amounts each day/week, would an online casino ban you?

Winning and withdrawing gets your account locked, so you could call it a ban. They don't give you a reason either. Once your account is locked you can't log in to the casino to try and ask questions. Emailing or phoning them is useless too. Eventually you find a casino that is reputable and doesn't mind you withdrawing. There is a website that lists reputable and rogue casinos and I choose casinos from there. Consistently winning small amounts is unlikely to get your account locked. Remember there is always another casino to play at if you get your account locked.

If you can consistently beat online casinos (without using bonuses) then you are the first person in the history of mankind to defy the laws of mathematics!
What's next - defy the laws of gravity & fly over the moon?

Most people only get banned for 'Bonus abuse', money laundering or fraud (e.g. opening multiple accounts to abuse bonuses, either as an individual or large groups of people).

I have been consistently profiting from online casinos for 7.5 years by using (not abusing) bonuses and have only been bonus-banned twice as far as I can remember. No problem; as Colombo said, 100's of other reputable casinos to chose from, so why worry?
Just make sure you don't play at any 'cowboy' rip-off joints & you will be fine!

Good luck in succeeding where millions have failed before you!

That was just an example. Another could be a person who is new to the casino only depositing $20 and managing to get to $1000 and wants to withdraw. Would a casino resent this person's good luck and try to find ways to stop them withdrawing?

You know they don't like losing money.

Like what happened in Betfair Poker. There was a glitch in the system and it was paying out when it shouldn't have been. Betfair wants all the money back and suspended some players but really it was their own fault for having a glitch. XDD

No reputable casino would ever deny a cash-out in your first example.

As for your second example, I think you will find ALL online casinos (including the reputable ones) will have a term somewhere in their conditions which states words to the effect of "Should a software fault or malfunction occur, all bets placed will become null & void".
This is understandable really - if it was a serious fault it could bankrupt the casino, which wouldn't be good for anyone.

Is there a comprehensive list of reputable casinos? And how would you define a 'reputable' casino?

I want to try out some new casinos. :P

Well there are a number of recognised casino portals on the web who will recommend casinos to you, but unfortunately there are some who will send players to any old rogues just to make a few bucks.

I don't like to self-promote if I can help it, but since you asked; I started playing online daily in January 2001. Since then I have joined, deposited my own money and played at over 140 different casinos (including some rogue places in my naive early days). Since 2004 I have been visiting various online forums like this one every single day, reading & learning about 100's of casinos - good and bad.
On my website (1st link in signature below) I list over 100 different casinos who I feel are totally reputable.
I personally have accounts at at least 60% of them, and have very good reasons to believe the rest are fair & honest.

For me, the main definitions of 'reputable' are:-
A professionally run organisation and/or ones with solid financial backing (e.g. Bookmakers).
Concise, clear & fair Terms & Conditions without any ridiculous 'anti-player' clauses.
    Fair & random games.
Hassle free, quick pay-outs to players who win. (More than about 3 working days is unacceptable to me)
No serious complaints against them on the various player forums.
