There seems to be a general feeling among anyone who frequents UK bookmakers and plays the roulette machines that, would you believe it, the machines are not actually random, even though some are clearly signed as 'random' and '97%'.

Firstly we have to get over what, legally and in a UK court of law, could be deemed to be 'random'.

Does anyone out there, and there must be some RNG programmers who work for the big sites that read this stuff, know if indeed the RNGs used by the bookmakers (Global Draw Roulette/Scientific Games for Coral, for example) can be biased against the numbers you pick, particularly if you are winning. I'm not concerned with the potential non-randomness of the actual software number generator and any accidental flaws in it, it's the actual decision on the final number to be drawn and whether the machine conscientiously is known to be able to pick a number to maximise your loss/minimise your win.

Your thoughts would be appreciated but ultimately your proof would be even better. I'm sure we've all got stories of people betting on 36 numbers only for the machine to chose the 37th one but that's not proof!

I've spent a lot of time doing the lucky 8 system over the past 4 months, and made lots of money out of it, this loves too give the same number twice or sometimes 3 on the trot i noticed.

I don't know how long 'real' roulette has been around in real casinos - maybe 50+ years?

Don't you think that if someone was going to find a way to beat the mathematical certainty that the house WILL take 2.7027% of all your bets over the long term, that they would have done it by now?

And do you think that if roulette was beatable that casinos would continue to offer a game they would lose money on?

My point is, real casinos don't have to rig their roulette to make loads of money, so nor do virtual roulette machines.

Now I'm not stating that they're definitely not rigged, because I have absolutely no way of knowing that, but I'm pretty happy that they are totally random. I feel the same about online casinos - all the reputable ones have 100% fair games IMHO.

Bottom line is, if you personally think they are rigged, don't play 'em - cos you ain't ever gonna win.

I can't see how they can get away with being rigged but then... this isn't the most honourable industry is it! Maybe you're seeing these strange results because you are spinning them A LOT of times? Same way that four of a kind seems pretty popular on online poker when really its happening about the same amount as at a real table. Just my two cents...

hi guys just been readin thru some of the comments on here. I believe that all obt's have tightened the screw since they first came out when u cud predict from the initial spin what was coming and when 0 was coming etc.

i tested this theory about if they were rigged today. I put in £300.00 and played 1 number ( 23 red ) £1 on it. 300 spins and the number was not selected. It hit 10, 8, 5, 13, 11 all next to it. I wasnt even increasing my bet or anything.

now are you telling me that a random machine can avoid a number 300 times.

i stayed in the bookies for an about 10 mins while i watched the horses and within 3 spins of e coming off and someone covering some other numbers 23 drops in twice on the bounce.

If truely random it could possibly miss that number in its entire time of being there. Not on purpose but by not randomly selecting it

if ur concerned about the spins being manipulated and the machines being fixed play in a real casino, the automated roulette machines in the casinos are hooked up to a real wheel, with a screen that shows the dealers spin, you can also play 20p bets aswell so thats a bonus.
