I find it impossible to believe that any form of roulette that does not involve an actual real live wheel can be anything other than fixed.
Is the software used a simulation of a wheel and ball or simply a jumped up random number generator with the graphics manipulated to show the ball landing on the pre-determined 'winning' number?
Given that the software know which numbers have been bet on prior to the 'spin' (and therefore which numbers will lose), and that the punter has to take in on trust the the software is fair, what is there by way of evidence to prove that the system isn't rigged?
Has there been any independent examination of roulette software or are there any regulations to stop it being fixed?
Just wondering.
Hi Mick,
Most roulette games will beat you if you try to be greedy or stay online for too long. The trick is to take small winnings from the roulette table (along with the free bonus monies) and go to other games like Derby Day, which is great fun, but again don't get greedy. Go for the "show" - finnish in first three with low stakes and build up your balance. Go back to roulette or blackjack for a top up of funds and keep doing the rounds but betting small amounts.
Note that those casinos offering intro bonuses will only pay out after you have wagered something like 20 times the bonus amount - on games OTHER THAN roulette, blackjack etc (check T&C's). Hence the switch to Derby Day. Collect once you're up and move on to the next casino (again don't go large).
Hope this helps,

As with all these online roulette fairness queries i always come back to the same point. Why would a well known, online casino deliberately cheat when they can make fat stacks of cash with their house edge? They would have hard evidence of unfair play which could be used against them in court. Even if not covered by any countries legal system that gives a crap it would only take one disgruntled programmer to destroy their reputation and lose massive annual, above board profits which they could reap ad-infinitum.
As far as i know all online casinos are covered by the gambling regulations of their host country. Knowing the lengths the gambling commission go to to ensure fairness in real life casinos i cannot imagine they do not take the same interest in online casinos which come under their purview. Although i cant state that as fact as it is not a facet of the gaming industry i am involved in.
I would be suspicous of free-play tables which are not covered by legislation (last time i checked) so could be used to lure you in to a false sense of luck. Likewise small, new online casinos registered to someone's shack in guatemala might be dodgy.
Apart from that it comes down to whether computer code can accurately reproduce "random chance", which is a topic that has many fine posts on it. However if this was the case i would suspect it would work both for and against the player equally. Even if it didn't this isn't a conspiracy. If you are uncomfortable with the concept, dont do it. There are even online casinos now which use a live dealer and camera. If you are suspicous of these too, then just dont do it. Make a hat out of tin foil and go back to investigating JFK. Thats not a pop directed at you, but anyone reading this who is about to start posting "yeah but, no but, yeah but... ivegotaguaranteedsysteminnitdoanditdoesntworkbwatt yboysoitmustbefixed innit".
Betting systems constitute one of the oldest delusions of gambling history. Betting systems votaries are spiritually akin to the proponents of perpetual motion machines, butting their heads against the second law of thermodynamics.

You are probably right, why would online casinos need to cheat online roulette players when they make bucketloads on the house edge itself.
Personally, I have come across unlucky streaks time and time again playing computerised versions of roulette. Electronic roulette machines at casinos and online roulette have always plauged me with unlucky streaks.
Whereas playing at a roulette table provdes me much much higher success rates.
Could just be badluck on my part, who knows, but playing online roulette is very convinienet and will be for a long time to come.
Goodluck.
