Hi there. I was wondering is anyone knew what
an "under check" was? As in a dealer saying, "we have a £6,000
under check". Anyone know? Thanks!
Sorry for the slow response but on the offchance you wander in again or anyone else was wondering.....Sounds like £6000 is missing to me. The casino regularly tallies up the chips in the bubble and the cash dropped to see whether a table is up or down. Usually every hour. This is called the "check". Youll hear a pit boss say "do the checks please". This way the pit tracks how much it is up/down every hour and can report any large swings to management and help their own running of the pit. However each casino has its own slightly different terminology.
Betting systems constitute one of the oldest delusions of gambling history. Betting systems votaries are spiritually akin to the proponents of perpetual motion machines, butting their heads against the second law of thermodynamics.
