Default Texas Holdem based table game

Did the Texas Holdem based table game ever appear in casinos?

Anyone any ideas how it could be done?

Here are two links to the most common variants of Texas holdem table games. You are unlikely to see them in any UK casinos although they are very big in the US and other gambling meccas. Plan on seeing them phased in towards september next year when the casino deregulation goes through. These are only two examples of many that are available but i expect these two will be the only main variants left standing when the dust settles. Hope that helps.

(These are links to the companies who license these games for use, I have no financial relationship with them and provide the links for info purposes only. Besides you need your own casino to get them so i doubt itll be considered advertising....any casino owners frequent this forum?....no didnt think so.... )

No problem mate, the house edge is pretty tasty as you can see but im sure that it would be popular for some time with the current interest level in TH. Glad it helped.

I didn't know that they would be phased in sometime next year, thats top news! My local casino is a great place (unless you lose loads) but in terms of Poker it only has 3-card, which is nothing compared to Texas Holdem!

I cant guarantee you will see them but i have a strong suspicion. As you may probably know all UK table games have to be approved by what was the gaming board and is now the gambling commission. Ive been told via the rumour mill that at least one variant and an electronic version have been approved or are all but confirmed as passed. The gambling commission end of year report showed that %hold for 3CP and CSP (stud/progressive) have plummeted. The latter only making up 0.5% of hold. With this in mind im sure that the casinos will be quick to embrace this.

On the other hand i wouldnt expect any movement for a year. The deregulation will bring some serious changes and casinos are basically holding their breath until they get to really go wild come september. Many places are planning refurbs/new properties/new slots etc so i imagine we will see them being introduced at the same time as the rest of the new toys. Whether the game proves enduringly popular and which variant becomes dominant is another matter.
