I would never trust online roulette, and i definately wouldnt use that system online. Way to risky.Originally Posted by stebiz
if your playing online you have to know that your dealing with a computer and that this means that they use percentages to figure out winnings.
If a computer is set to hand out 45% then it will do that in a given time, lets say a day.
If that computer has taken in $10,000 in that day it would give out mabe 4500 in one big pot or through little ones.
Then again you can be playing and losing your money because you really have no control online.
dont trust anyone

I have been using a similar system (but on demo on Will Hill), where I wait until no numbers in a row of 12 have appeared in 4 successive spins, then place £5 on that row, and doubling the stakes until it comes in. You need a lot to start with though. It's been a winner most times so think I might try it for real. Anyone know the difference between the Will Hill downloadable roulette and the roulette on the 'games' section? Does the one on the games section use a RNG, or will it be programmed to pay out a certain percentage of the time?
Online roulette is probably more random than real roulette tables due to their being no human error element.
As for systems.. there are NO working systems for roulette and never will be. You cannot predict a random event.
Dont waste your money buying stupid systems.
Why has it come to this?
I disagree with this scotty, like determined in the past, how can you determine a completely random algorithm ? I doubt very much anything at all that is programmed is deemed from completely 100% random code, if you was coding the engine, where would you start? What would the equation be?Originally Posted by Scott
At least with e=mc2 its an accurate formula to determine an outcome, yet if you was coding an engine to use a random formula, how would you go about it? I have spent years trying to figure out a completely random formula based on a set value of numbers, and its a whirlwind of a brain teaser.
Fair enough given human error on the ball being handled, and if its not classed as completely random, at least its 'truly' random.

You need to use true random sources from outside the computer, Lava Lamps, Mouse movements, radioactive decay, cloud positions, atmostpheric pressure, atmospheric noise etc etc etc...
The roulette wheels in casinos are not true random or even random at all.. many croupiers have proven they can hit sections they want, some have even been said to be able to hit a specific number.

I'd still rather play real roulette than this FOBT rubbish though. I found an independent investigation into it, which wasn't 100% satisifed with its authenticity and guarantee that it uses a RNG and nothing else. If i can find it, i'll post it up.

more I thought of..
light levels
random 'noise' from CCD chips/digital cameras
the white nooise on TVs when its tuned into 'nothing'
The hissing on radios when tuned into 'nothing'
lottery draw results
speeds taken for several people to do one thing
typing time

Sigh, have you read any of this thread mate?Originally Posted by Looterman

Only about 4 posts before we discussed how dangerous the martingale system is.
I agree, doubling your stakes is dangerous. I am quite new to casino gambling, but I must admit (and I don't mean to blow my own trumpet) I have always come away from the casino with more money than I went in with. I might quit whilst I am ahead, I was half relying on it whilst I was not working, but now that I am I seem to value money a lot more and tend to not gamble as much. I was going to a casino that provided a screen with previous numbers on roulette, and I did one of 3 "systems". Ironic, but the best one I didn't tend to bet on much: when there was a streak of black, then 1 red, then a streak of black then one red etc, I would wait until a red had come out on its own 4 times then bet on red immediately after a red came out. Coupled with progressive betting, it was always a winner. My favourite and most common bet was betting on 2 rows, I arrogantly thought I would be unlucky if I lost on that, when I did I put stupid amounts on, not recommended but I was lucky I guess. Also I watched out for rows that had not come out for around ten times, then I suppose it's odds on that it's due, but need to do progressive bets. These 3 "systems" worked for me, I believe playing roulette is more of a science, and I believe it can be beaten, as long as you know when it's time to walk away.
