    Default Cheating at Roulette

I was talking to a few friends disscussing how to cheat at roulette and came up with this idea.

Go on to the table and get coloured chips worth 50p each and play for a while but pocket some on the way until u have a good stash then leave the table. Come back to the table a bit later and play with the same colour but get them at £5 a chip now play very lightly so don't use to much until the dealer changes. The new dealer would have no idea how much you have won/lost so you could sneak your previous 50p chips out which would now be worth £5. Would this be flawed??

P.S I don't intend to go and rob the casino though i don't fancy jail

You think these guys are stupid?
You can tell the difference between chips easily unless its a stupid casino/dealer etc.

There are very few real ways to cheat at roulette without an inside job... installing an electromagnet would be very difficult and they are certainly aware of devices that can calculate where the balls going to land now days after recent events... I doubt you would get away with either.

The first is certainly fraud and the second is probably legal but I am unsure.
Why has it come to this?

I too have heard of the initial idea of changing chip value and have been assured that it is possible if your careful.

However, some Casinos will not allow you to choose your own coloured chips and you are constantly being watched on cameras and as a result, any effort to try and pocket or smuggle coloured chips (not values) away from a table is risky.

I have walked away from a table b4 with the coloured chips, not because i was robbing them just forgot. It would obviously be a lot harder to take anything worthwhile away from the table.

The way to do it is if you go back later and cash in around 100 or something pounds so you have a shit load of chips on the table and then just add what you have to it, that is how the bank might not know but the truth is that when they are raising the stakes they recount the colours plus alot of big casino even change the chips completely therefore not changing the value of the chips....
