This is where the casino loves stuff like this.. you mention the fact you have seen a colour 16 times in a row.. also I have seen a very high run of colour the same and when the record board is red, red, red, red etc people dont waste time whacking down the chips..

However the fact is that is completly irrelevant its just a pattern you are seeing but the next spin is completly unrelated to the previous.

Another comment I like to hear is 'whats the odds of the 13th red on the trot then?'.. uh, 2:1 (ish).. of course its very difficult to get out of this mindset...

..it couldn't possibly roll red for the 20th time, could it?
Why has it come to this?

Which is why roulette is good for possibilities and not probabilities.

I think if we split the mathematical differences between the two definitions, it gives people a better explaination of theory...

    Hi Everyone reading this thread.
It's a long time since I've posted on this particular Forum but I'll give it a go once more.

The most Reds I've seen in a row is 23!! I've seen it at a live casino and witnessed it online as well.
The most consecutive spins I've seen in one of the three dozens is 16!!! And I've only ever seen 3 zeros spun at a live casino once!

I used to sell strategies over the net but now I just give them away. The whole web site selling business costs a fortune to maintain. There are so many hangers-on who want your money before you've even sold a product!

I made a total of $5,000 in sales and it cost me $5,500 just to run the thing! To carry on would have been real dumb.

    Cheers
    Steve

Nice articles. A very good read. Not what i was expecting when i read the title.

The martingale system was the first one I ever tired at a local club, and I was successful for a little while. After a few weeks of playing the house edge finally caught up.

My next step was at a local casino, waiting for streaks of 8 of same color, odd/even or 1-18/19-36 and place a bet on the 9th spin. This has been quite profitable for me and am yet to come across a streak of 16 or more. I think the closest was 12 spins.

Now I intend to bet on columns and dozens, search for a steak of 6 containing either 2 dozens or 2 columns and placing a bet on the column or dozen which hasnt appeared in the last 6 spins. This is a much better betting technique than martingale and safer.

Thanks for the articles. They basically tell you not to play the game because it is impossible to win.. I think there are ways to use probabilities... if you disagree then I guess your entire life is nothing more than possiblities rather than probabilities. If that is the case, why do probabilities exist.

Roulette can't be beaten 100% but I think you can play to a certain degree and be ahead often than not.

The Martingale would be a cast-iron way to beat the house but for three things:

    1. The size of your wallet
    2. The house's bet limit
    3. The green 0

Even if you were playing with unlimited funds at a casino that let you bet as much as you liked, they'd always get you with the green that pops up 2.7% of the time (and 5.3% of the time on US roulette tables).

    Hi
I've seen red come up 23 times twice now in my 'career' as a semi-professional and that was on a live wheel. I've also been wiped out once when the Low dozen was spun 14 times in a row!!! Nothing is impossible in a random game of chance!

I learnt hard lessons both times and now altered my approach to accommodate these freakish phenomena.

    Kind regards
    Steve

I went in to a casino with a mate of mine and he planned to double up on roulette playing the Martingale system while I went for blackjack. He was spent in half an hour and I nearly doubled up by slow-playing blackjack for about 4 hours and quitting while ahead. I just don't get why anyone would see Martingale as a viable strategy.

Default Is Online Roulette A Con

hi ,i had a go for fun on the double up system and won £100 in an hour .but then playing for cash using exactly the same system lost the £100 in an hour, can anyone tell me if the odds are fixed in your favour when playing for fun and then reversed when playing for cash, surely this is illegal? this was at the goldencasino.
