Hi Matt,
many thanks for the kind words, and also for giving us the chance to represent the site.
I think we`ve been through Dunkirk, then the Battle of Britain, now we`ve launched the Second Front and are marching on Berlin.
I`ve never tried to load up Poker Room without logging in, it is available through browser as well as client, maybe there is a guest function, but I haven`t seen it.
I`m sure supporters would be welcome, but we`ve found that observer chat is off, when we`ve tried to support each others games, so (maybe fortunately), heckling is out.
The final 2 legs both start at 7pm (brought forward to accommodate the Germans` bedtimes), on Wednesday and Sunday. Anyone logged in to watch can find the games easily enough, under the "Team Play" tab on the site, and will probably bear an original name such as Champs League Final.
5 tables of 10, each team player on a separate table.
Next season, well, it might appeal, but I really would not like to go through the hassles that went on this time.
If the organisation gets sorted out, then it can be a good and rewarding format, in that case I`d gladly do it again.
(In a rather heated phone call to Germany, when most of our players couldn`t get on due to `technical difficulties`, I was asked "do you think you can get through to the next round?" In a bad mood I retorted "Let us put out a full team and we`ll b*** well win it!". Well, we`ve got that chance now).
Hopefully, if we do do it again, we`ll get genuine players to sign up. At the beginning, there were loads, some very prolific posters on here included, but they never even bothered to register or play.
Guess some people prefer talking about poker more than they like to play it.
Perhaps eSports might consider a Champions League of forum posters, perhaps that will interest them.
Cheers, we`ll do our best in the final.
I`ve screenshotted our progress, so if you fancy doing a promotional post later on, I`ll let you have the story in pictures as well as words.
Mike.
(damn forum logged me out, had to repost it).
