its the laws of probability that causes the problems.....say heads or tails with a coin, the probablity of it landing on either are equal and over a period of time it will even itself out to an almost equal amount......the problem is that noone knows the length of time needed so can never predict the outcome with 100% confidence, even if 10 heads had come up theres still the same chance of a head coming up next as a tail, long term probability is a lot different to single event outcome!!
